The assignment was to research, write and design a booklet about a historic event. I chose to highlight the women’s suffrage movement.

I decided to illustrate the booklet in the style of line art that is connected throughout each page. I sourced images of the leaders of the movement and protests throughout the years to use as the base/outline of my illustrations and chose the color red as the only color in the booklet because of the symbolism behind the color. Red is a bold and brave color which reminded me of the movement as a whole and those important change makers involved.
