For my senior project, I decided to create a visual design series representing the seven elements of design through photography and illustration. I looked through advertisements and old magazines and newspapers and went to thrift stores and vintage shops to find old photographs and postcards to scan and use as key elements within the designs. I then incorporated some abstract illustration techniques to assist in conveying the different elements of design.

In order, the elements of design are emphasis, balance & alignment, contrast, repetition, proportion, movement and white space.
